Careers at Americans for the Arts

Lifestyle and Culture

We host a number of staff events and clubs to keep things interesting at work and to further enhance our team environment. With the artisinal cheese club, the book club, the staff newsletter, the arts and crafts club, and so much more, this is truly a unique place. We want the time spent at work to be enjoyable and fulfilling.

Our commitment of service to the community is also reflected in the personal lives and free time of our employees. Our staff participate in numerous charitable organizations and events at both the local and national levels.

We also encourage the personal interests and endeavors of our in-house artists whose accomplishments have included (to name a few) the publication of a book on knitting, an award-winning short story, curating an exhibit with nationally recognized artists, photography shows, and amateur filmmaking.

Americans for the Arts managers maintain an open-door policy and actively work to promote a culture that fosters innovative ideas and collaboration. We strongly believe in career and professional development and encourage staff to seek opportunities to enrich their interests and work. We post all of our positions internally first allowing employees to examine their own career growth and to pursue their paths. We also offer a casual business dress environment.

In addition to advocating for arts for all Americans, we are committed to using environmentally friendly business practices to achieve our goals and to do our part to minimize our negative impact on the environment.
