Americans for the Arts Action Fund Fundraiser and PAC Reception
Americans for the Arts Action Fund is the 501(c)(4) advocacy arm of Americans
for the Arts. The Arts Action Fund was created to spearhead a national movement
to educate and engage citizens in legislative and other public advocacy in support of the arts and arts education at the federal, state, and local levels. This reception fundraiser is an opportunity to recruit new members to join our enhanced advocacy efforts and for existing members to contribute to the Arts Action Fund’s new political action committee. This is one of the most effective ways to influence arts policy and help elect pro-arts candidates to federal office. Contributions to Americans for the Arts Action Fund or its Arts Action Fund PAC are not tax deductible as a charitable donation for federal income tax purposes. Not paid for by Americans for the Arts or any government entity.Minimum membership contribution: $20

Making Culture Count 3.0
Speakers: Arthur Cohen, CEO, LaPlaca Cohen Advertising; Tom Kaiden, COO, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance; Joan Cumming, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra
Last conference’s most popular session was the closing plenary featuring new data on arts audience behavior presented by The New Yorker magazine and LaPlaca Cohen from research conducted by Mediamark Research Inc. This year’s National Arts Marketing Project Conference will feature brand new and updated information from their just-completed third study, including surprising information on web usage and what motivates consumers to attend the arts: why do our audiences and visitors come; what does it mean in their lives; and where are they getting information on arts activities? Arthur Cohen will present the results of this latest study of the cultural consumer followed by a lively panel discussion and Q&A session! The panel will include a variety of speakers from the conference and will be an open forum for questions, brainstorming, and sharing!
