Linda Chiavaroli

Linda Chiavaroli became director of communications for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission in July 2002, after having served as the commission’s public relations and marketing consultant for nine years. Chiavaroli ran her own public relations and marketing firm, United Arts, from 1981 to 2002, serving a variety of clients in the arts, including dance companies, orchestras, individual artists, and arts centers. From 1975 to 1981, Chiavaroli was director of public relations for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, during David Zinman's tenure as music director. Chiavaroli began her career in the communications field as a feature writer and reviewer for the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, part of the Gannett Newspapers Group. She received a B.A. in French area studies from Barnard College and attended Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Journalism.
