Americans for the Arts encourages the participation of arts administration, fine arts, and arts education students and values the contribution they bring to the field.

We provide an array of networking and professional development opportunities, career guidance, and ways to advocate for the arts. Many of these great services are either free or specially priced for student participation:

• Join Americans for the Arts for as little as $50 and receive all of the benefits at the Colleague membership level, like FREE, UNLIMITED Professional Development webinars and access to our networking listservs, with topics that range from arts education and public art, to research, policy and arts marketing.

• Take advantage of FREE events for students and emerging leaders going on all around the country: Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversations, the Emerging Leaders Reception at our Annual Convention, and the Emerging Leaders Reception at Arts Advocacy Day.
• Americans for the Arts offers member discounts at its conferences and seminars, including a student rate at the Annual Convention, the National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) Conference, and at Arts Advocacy Day.

• Be a part of an Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversation in your community. Or, better yet, organize your own! We facilitate grassroots communication in and around the arts from areas all across the nation.

• Utilize the Emerging Leaders Network, and become connected to a national network of arts professionals who are new to the field.
•  Post your resume on the Americans for the Arts Job Bank, where arts organizations of every discipline feature open positions in the arts field.

• ArtsMarketing.org, a comprehensive web portal, serves as a resource for students in arts administration programs and for all members of the arts community, across artistic disciplines, by providing practical marketing tools and information.
• Take your arts learning to the next level and peruse the Arts Management Programs at Colleges & Universities. This list of degree offerings is currently made available by the Association of Arts Administration Educators.

• Register to vote and let your voice be heard!
• Two minutes is all it takes to tell Congress you support the arts and arts education. Visit the Arts Action Center and voice your opinion today!
• Organize a group of fellow student arts adovcates to take part in arts advocacy events, including Arts Advocacy Day and the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy.
• Join the Americans for the Arts Action Fund as a FREE advocate member to play your part in supporting funding for the arts!
