Emerging Leader Council
In 1999 Americans for the Arts created a council to provide advice and guidance on the development and implementation of a series of programs designed to meet the needs of emerging leaders working in the arts today. The Emerging Leader Council, comprised of working professionals from across the country, meets periodically to help establish effective and innovative programming.
National Patrons Council
Partnerships with key individuals and organizations in the business, government, and philanthropic sectors are critical to our ability to make the arts a fundamental and meaningful part of every American's life. Americans for the Arts' National Patron Council offers various leadership and sponsorship opportunities to support the arts.
Public Art Network
Public Art Network (PAN) develops professional services for the broad array of individuals and organizations engaged in the expanding field of public art. More than 300 public art programs exist in the United States at both the state and local level. PAN connects the field by stimulating dialogue, discussing critical issues, and providing information through the website and the PAN listserv.
State Arts Action Network
The State Arts Action Network works to strengthen and build arts advocacy and service infrastructure in the United States at the national, state, and local levels. Among other things, it helps shape public policy, initiate effective advocacy campaigns, set research agendas, provide meaningful professional development, and provide peer-to-peer networking opportunities to emerging arts organizations.
United Arts Funds
The United Arts Funds Council advises the Board of Americans for the Arts about the development of programs, publications, and services that are designed to meet the needs of the nation's more than 70 united arts funds (UAFs). Council members also provide peer-to-peer assistance on the improvement of existing united arts funds and the development of new ones. Council members represent both new and long-established UAFs and are members of Americans for the Arts.
United States Urban Arts Federation
The United States Urban Arts Federation (USUAF) is an alliance of the Chief Executive Officers of the local arts agencies of the nation's fifty largest cities. The USUAF meets two times each year. Americans for the Arts' Research and Information staff conducts an annual USUAF survey on budgets, budget histories, and programming and publishes a report on these findings. In addition, staff periodically communicates with USUAF members, invites them to special activities, and sends them critical information as needed.
