Every year the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Network offers a broad range of events. Most major Americans for the Arts convenings contain an emerging leader component, but the network also organizes separate events. These events include preconferences, receptions, and Creative Conversations, facilitating both professional and social interactions among emerging leaders. In doing so, the program aims to promote a skilled, cohesive, and well-informed generation of arts leaders. Our events facilitate peer support and the exchange of ideas among the next generation of arts leaders.

Every year during National Arts & Humanities Month in October, Americans for the Arts partners with emerging arts leaders nationwide to host Creative Conversations. Find out how to host a Creative Conversation in your community.

Preconferences
Americans for the Arts has hosted two Emerging Leader Preconferences to promote the professional development of emerging arts leaders nationwide. Check out the events section of the Americans for the Arts website to read about our previous preconferences in 2003 and 2005.
